My first assignment for Humanitarian Assistance to a third world country was in 1997. I went to Mongolia – shortly after the break up of the Soviet Union.  An active duty unit had build a gymnasium at a small school in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city. Subsequently a problem with the steam heat system developed. I was asked to make a trip to see if I could determine what the problem was and to recommend a solution. Following are some pictures from that trip.
